Newark, La Guardia and JFK are the three large NYC airports. From La Guardia you can take a taxi or bus into the city. From JFK you can take an (expensive) taxi, or the AirTrain monorail to the A/C/E subway. If you are flying into Newark, there is construction on the AirTrain. You can take a bus or taxi from the airport to Newark Penn Station, then switch to either a NJ Transit train into New York Penn station or a Path subway to the World Trade Center in lower Manhattan. The Newark Airport Express Bus also runs directly to Midtown Manhattan for $16.
